Frequently Asked Questions

What is WordPress installation and why do I need it?

Similar to software installed on your computer, WordPress is an application that must be installed in your web hosting account. Installing WordPress is the first step to creating your new blog or website.

Why do I need to pay to install WordPress when I can install it for free in my web hosting control panel?

It’s true that most web hosting companies provide an automated “1-Click” WordPress installation tool within their control panel. I strongly believe that installing WordPress manually provides added levels of security that will help protect your blog or website from hackers and viruses.

Although the manual WordPress installation process is not terribly difficult, it requires a basic working knowledge of editing a PHP file, transferring files using an FTP application, and creating a MySQL database.

How long until my WordPress installation is complete?

I will install WordPress for you within 24-48 hours of your purchase.

Which version of WordPress do you install?

I always install the latest version of WordPress so that you can take advantage of the latest features and security updates.

Can you install additional WordPress plugins for me?

Yes. I can provide a separate quote to install additional plugins. Please keep in mind that some plugins are not compatible with other plugins or themes. If you request for me install an additional plugin and it does not work properly, I can not provide support for any issues it causes. However, I will make attempts to contact the plugin creator and ask for their assistance.

How will I know that WordPress has been installed?

Once the WordPress installation process is complete, I will send you an email with the information needed to access your WordPress dashboard.

Why do you need my web hosting login information to install WordPress?

I need access to your web hosting account so that I can create the database and upload WordPress.

I don't have a domain name and/or web hosting. What should I do?

If you don’t have a domain name and/or web hosting, I can help you get set up with both before installing WordPress. Please contact me for more information.
